Most disappointing...knew I should have left when the hostess/waitress was so non-plused about our interrupting the solitude of the empty restaurant. The cook was like ten years old...and the girl with red hair snapped at him for not knowing how to make gyros, which were a little bit of meat, a lot of wilted iceberg lettuce and an unremarkable sauce. Now I know why the place was empty at lunch time.

My girlfriend ordered the Vegie platter and I ordered the Ultimate plate. This was great; because we were able to try much of the menu. The Babaganooj is excellent. Also try the Mishkool (rice). We both were very impressed.
(5)Carina G.
The place is a bit of an eye - sore from the outside and as you walk in. But trust me when I say the food was so worth it! Nothing can beat the falafels and fresh hummus with pita bread. I even had to ask for extra hummus on the side to take home haha. New favorite hole in the wall. Amazingly affordable as well!
(5)Benjamin C.
The food was *exactly* what I was looking for. Light but filling and full of flavor. Friendly and fast service at a good price. Site says they deliver but only for $50+ orders. Drat, had to put pants on.... Definitely a good choice

I brought my wife here after not having eaten in a while. Frankly I was a bit disappointed. In the past few visits, the food was always an explosion of flavor. This time I ordered the Lamb Kabab sandwich, and it completely lacked that banging flavor that I had grown to love. Hopefully it's just a fluke. Because if it becomes a regular thing, I'll have to explore other meal locations.

One of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants in the Springs. Absolutely delicious. :-) Perfect for vegans like myself.
(5)David B.
Wow, great Mediterranean at a great price. I got the ultimate plate. The hummus was delicious, the warm pitas were some of the freshest and softest I have tasted in a while, and the lamb, beef, and chicken mix was amazing. And those falafels... I've had tons of falafels and never saw the appeal, but Taste of Jerusalem's falafels have single handedly made me a fan. I tasted my friend's cheesy sandwich and was immediately convinced that their sandwiches were just as amazing as everything else. No doubt the endless "Best Gyro Sandwich" awards that line the walls were legit. We also got a baba ghanoush appetizer, which of course, was great. I'm sure you're tired of hearing me rave endlessly, so let me wrap this up. As I left, I got to thinking, when have I ever had a meal this good at this price point? Maybe never, for $8 you can barely buy a sandwich these days. 5 stars without a doubt.

My girlfriend and I just got back from having lunch at Taste of Jerusalem Cafe. Good prices, good food overall - not the best Mediterranean food I've ever had, but pretty good, and would definitely go back. I had the Ultimate Plate (mix of lean beef, lamb, chicken breast, side of hummus and falafel with warm pita bread) - $7.99, 4 stars. I found the meat to be a bit drier than I would have liked, but the hummus is some of the best I've had in awhile. In addition to the Ultimate Plate I ordered the Turkish coffee. Good serving size - three tiny cups worth of highly concentrated coffee, very strong and great if you're a coffee lover. Price not listed, 5 stars. My girlfriend had the Ultimate Sandwich (mix of lean beef, lamb, chicken breast and falafel) - $6.99, 5 stars. She says it's "the greatest sandwich she's ever had in the history of sandwiches. It lives up to its name." Overall, definitely a good place, good price, very friendly service, and we'll be going back in the future.

Okay, I've now been to Heart of Jerusalem four out of five Sundays in a row. I'm definitely hooked. I always get the super plate (I'm not sure if that's the exact name) that has falafel, hummus, chicken and beef, and a few other sides. It's plenty for 2 people to share. I think everything is extra tasty at this place. The baklava is also a treat.

Yelp! I tried the taste of Jerusalem downtown based on the great reviews an now I must add one myself! I tried the veggie plate and loved the humus!!!! The best humus I've ever had!!! And mmm pita bread, I've seriously gone back at least 10 times now because the humus is sooo good!!! and I like trying different, new things, so if you're interested in something different, order some dolmas, they're these little balls of rice wrapped with grape leaves, a little acidic, vinegary on the outside, but rice is soft and lightly flavorful, overall, the taste is awesome! If you're lucky to be in the Springs neighborhood, gotta make a trip to Taste of Jerusalem Cafe and definitely order HUMUS!! (I didn't even like humus before!)

Taste of Jerusalem is a great place to go in Colorado Springs for cheap falafel sandwiches. I can't review anything else they have because I haven't eaten any of it. The falafel itself is rich and memorable (that is, it sticks around in your mouth, just like it should). Unlike many other falafel sandwich places, the other ingredients in the sandwich (lettuce, beets, tomatoes) are of good enough quality so as to actually contribute the sandwich. The also don't skimp on the tzitziki sauch, which is a key for a falafel sandwich. They do catering and take-out, but I like to go inside the restaurant because a hot and fresh falafel sandwich always outscores a slightly cooler one. The prices are student-friendly.

I visited Colorado Springs last week and I did some Yelp research beforehand for good local restaurants. My friend and I ended up going to Heart of Jerusalem twice for lunch as it was delicious! I got the chickafel sandwich both times and it was to die for good! I think my friend got the one with chicken, lamb, and beef, and she loved it. I got a side of tabouli the first time, and while it was fine, it had a bit too much lemon juice in it (very puckery). The second trip I had a peach smoothie which was like drinking a fresh peach - best one I've ever had! I only wish we had a place like this in central IL.
(5)Veronica C.
An oasis in Colorado Springs hit-or-miss restaurant service culture. It's saved us twice. Entering hungry after 8 pm, the service is friendly, the food is fresh and so good, and it's fast! Tonight we walked out of a neighboring restaurant after sitting for 50 minutes without even our appetizer arriving (or our server). Thankfully, Jerusalem was across the street. In less than 10 minutes we enjoyed a full meal of juicy chicken kebab, wonderfully cooked rice spiced with cardamom pods, fresh hummus & tabouli, and the server even let my husband substitute the fries that come with his shawarma for a baklava. We left happy. We'll be back.
(5)Joel H.
Awesome food. Chicken kebab and crisspura fries. 5 stars there. One thing that was odd was our incredibly slow service, considering we were literally the only customers in the place on a Tuesday afternoon. The waitress smoked about 4 cigarettes while we waited for the bill. We weren't in a hurry so that's fine, just seems tacky to do and someone else may not tip if given the same service. Ah well
(4)D E.
Always tasty. Place isn't much inside, but the food is really good. The falafels are some of the best I've had. Super flavorful and crispy. Even my boyfriend who says he never likes them is a fan. We usually get the ultimate plate which gives you a bit of everything. Also a big fan of the french fries (random for a greek restaurant, I know) The service can be a bit hit and miss. Last time the only server would disappear for long periods of time. We finally had to have one of the cooks take our payment. It was rather strange. I really wish this place had beer and/or wine. Always a safe bet for takeout.
(4)Vincent T.
Very basic in terms of taste and small portions. This is also the first time I've ordered a chicken plate from a Mediterranean restaurant, only to discover there's no rice. The lady that helped me was nice enough but that's the only positive about this place. Do not recommend.
(2)Juan G.
The food was simple and full of flavor. The service was outstanding. Finishing with complementary baklava and Turkish coffee was the perfect end to a dinner with family and friends.
(5)Gabriel M.
Got the ultimate plate which was very good, did the beef and the lamb instead of all three which included chicken. Also got a piece of baklava, rolled up like an egg roll, but tasted ridiculously good. Good eats for cheap, come getcha some.
(4)Inayet H.
Food was good, service was excellent, interior is nice, price is about $10/ person. They have some expensive menu items as well. This was a sit down and be served restaurant. Utensils are not paper plates, or plastic spoons, as one reviewer has mentioned, but regular restaurant ware.
(5)Jonathan B.
NOT to be confused with Heart of Jerusalem. What a shocker. I had seen the ratings on this place but confused with with another Mediterranean place. This one is way better. It's small and the service is very friendly, but the food is the real winner here. Extremely flavorful. Perhaps the best Falafel I've had. Also, I'm certain that they had the best Baklava I've ever had. Now, I'm not an expert on authentic Mediterranean (growing up in Oklahoma), but I'd say this is the real deal.
(5)Rachel S.
I've been going to this place for a few years and now finally am going to review it. Unlike some places in Colorado Springs that I have come back to after living somewhere else for 2 years, and have been disappointed, this place has not changed. The prices stayed the same, the food is still just as good, and bonus points: they upgraded their tables! I usually get the ultimate plate and/or (yes "and" I'm a fattie) some type of sandwich. I think all the food is very flavorful and they give you a good amount. Also the prices can't be beat. It's not like there is a lamb ranch in the vicinity of Colorado Springs. Every time I have been here my food has been ready very quickly, and all of the employees are very polite. So I shall continue going back again and again every time I visit Colorado.
(5)T K.
We walked in here just on a whim, and we're super surprised with the quality of food. The restaurant interior itself isn't that great -- but this is a perfect example of a hole-in-the-wall place that has fantastic food. The Falafel platter and hummus are really, really good!
(4)Jason L.
This place is pretty phenomenal. Great gyros, baba ganouj and hummus. I had a combo platter that was excellent. They are way better than the place across the street. I just wish they had sriracha instead of that Cajun sauce they offer.
(5)Joshua H.
This place serves awesome middle eastern fast food. It's simple: falafel, kebab, hummus, pita, and it's all done well. Interior is clean and simple, the place is family run, and service is friendly. The baba ganoush here is the best I've had. I wish I knew of a place like this in the Bay Area!
(4)Meghan E.
Delicious! Had the ultimate sandwich...it's great! I would compare this to doners in Germany. Definitely has a Mediterranean taste. Very authentic. The fries are crunchy and delicious. The service is amazing. The cashier is friendly and helps as much as he can. The menu is a little over priced but it's really great food! The cafe is small and quaint. It reminded me of the small places I would frequent while living in Germany. It's super clean and nice atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone!
(4)Jeffrey V.
I was very impressed with the authenticity of the food at Taste of Jerusalem Cafe. The combo plate had all of my favorites. The falafel reminded me of the ones i got when i visited Jerusalem a few years back. The service staff was very friendly and the restaurant clean.
(4)Carrie Y.
Best coffee I have had outside of Turkey. The sage tea was great as well. We had 3 people in our party and we all ordered something different so that we could sample. Every thing was authentic and fresh. I am not a fan of Baba Gu Nush. Theirs was so good I didn't eat the hummus.
(5)Joseph B.
The food was good and although I had a problem with the service at one time they were happy to make it up to me and I will go back and try them again next time I am in the area.
(4)Alison R.
4 stars not 5 because I typically feel sick afterward... but it's so good!!! I recommend the chicken kabob. They should deliver, not thru dine on demand tho because it's extra money. So tasty, so tasty.
(4)Ivelisse P.
Incredible! I got a falafel plate and the falafel was some of the best I've had! My boyfriend got the ultimate sandwich. Excellent service, quick and delicious. So good!!
(5)Bruce K.
Great food for a great price. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this place and look forward to the next visit. Received a $5 Yelp coupon.
(5)Nora L.
Don't let the looks of this place deceive you. Some of the best falafel and shawarma I have ever had. The service is surprisingly fast and food is beyond delicious. I will definitely be going back
(5)Jennifer H.
My favorite falafel sandwich in town. With extra pickled turnip and garlic sauce, please! The Mishkool plate is excellent, hummus is good, everyone is very nice and prep time is relatively fast. When I worked downtown I would just call in my order and by the time I walked there it was ready. Some items on the menu seemed pricey but I always felt like I got good value for the things I ordered.

A nice little place with great food, that occasionally gets bogged down with long waits due to minimal staffing; but it has a nice ambience and pleasant atmosphere that doesnt make the wait too bad. The food is good; intitially on sight I felt that the portions looked a little small, but I felt that it did hit the spot once I finished eating it. My only complaint about the food is that it is a little limitied, but if you are jonesing for a schwarna, this place will definitely scratch that itch. The coffee is spectacular; I've stopped in sometimes just to get a cup. If you are in military uniform - or present a militart ID - you can get a free beverage; eff yea!
(3)Sibby S.
Ambiance: A little whole-in-the-wall kind of place. About a dozen or so tables. Order at counter, and wait for your name to be called. Service: Friendly enough. Food arrived in a timely fashion. Food: I can now say that this place has the best falafel in town. Spiced just right and very tasty indeed! Great flavor. I also like their hummus (though Arabica Cafe also in downtown has the best hummus, in my opinion). Their meat-based sandwiches are good, but it is their falafel that is a stand-out. Overall, a great little place, with good value and outstanding falafel. I will be back!

Whenever I can't quite decide what I want for dinner....The answer is almost always Taste of Jerusalem Cafe. I have had everything on the menu and I love everything on the menu. The food is fresh, tasty and well priced. The cafe is quaint and awesome to grab a quick bite. The guys that work here are friendly and helpful. If anyone has had a different experience than this I could not for the life of me figure out why. As always talk to the guy that work there and they will talk back! I spent 42 months in the Middle East and I love the food the culture and the people, and this place certainly gives you that experience. The staff is also very knowledgeable about the food. I spent roughly 20 minutes talking about where the falafel came from, who makes it the best, and so on. If you haven't been here this place is a lunch MUST!
(5)Runjapan O.
This place is not quite what I expected. I think Heart of Jerusalem is much better as far as food, service, and atmosphere go, but Taste of Jerusalem is still pretty good. The ervice is decent and the food is flavorful as well.
(3)James o.
I'm that guy that eats primarily gyros when traveling to France and Germany. (The gyros & falaffel in Berlin are the best!) I ate here once a week for ~4 months. I love their mixed meat sandwich, dolmas, baba... Actually, I've liked everything I've had. And the price is right. As a bonus, they started a rewards program & you can get a free baklava after your first visit. 5 stars, no question!
(5)Sammy J.
Great food! Reasonable prices too. I had the Ultimate plate. It was very delicious. Took the in-laws for lunch and we all were filled up by our meals. I would recommend this place to anyone. The food was very satisfying and the staff were pleasing.
(4)Marcus D.
Taste of Jerusalem sandwich is almost always awesome, but sometimes it's not... Almost always stop here when driving through the Springs.
(4)Aaron C.
An oasis in the desert of expensive food in COS. I wouldn't choose it for atmosphere, but the ambience put forth by the service and food definitely compensates for it. The shwarma's are great for a meal on the go, or if you're feeling like something more hearty the Ultimate Kebab Plate is another favorite of mine.
(5)Liz E.
This location is not as good as the Heart of Jerusalem off of Barnes & Academy. The bread is plain ( the other place uses herbs on the bread) no salad with plate orders just some banana peppers, and poor customer service. Make the drive and go to the other location.
(1)Ivelisse P.

When my boyfriend suggested this spot for his birthday dinner after a quick (half-hearted, I thought) internet search, I was dubious to say the least. "Are you sure you don't want to go to a fancier place? I'm paying!" He was sure. Ladies and gentlemen, I am a girl admitting her boyfriend was right. This doesn't happen often. Situated in on a street in Colorado Springs I dubbed 'Little Mediterranean', Taste of jerusalem is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it, hole-in-the-wallish place. There's a huge mural of Jerusalem on the wall, with the COEXIST banner above it (a nice touch, I thought.) We ordered baba ganoush, the shawarma sandwich, the falafel sandwich, and their special crispy fries. Everything we ate was DE LI CIOUS. the baba was the best I've ever had. I don't understand why it isn't more popular. Hummus just doesn't have the depth of flavor, the savoryness, the... MMPH *eye roll* goodness with every bite. That's just my humble opinion, I guess. Long live the eggplant! The shawarma was melt-in-your-mouth good, with a perfect touch of tzatziki, tucked in perfect pillowy pita. The falafel also passed with flying colors, being likewise adorned with tzatziki and an extra touch of pickled radishes. The french fries were marvelous - It's been a while since i've had fries that were that crispy while also retaining pure potato flavor in each bite. All in all, if you're in colorado springs, get your ass over to Taste of Jerusalem, and while you're on that street, get a tattoo, and buy a hookah and a giant brass elephant statue. What more do you really need?
(5)Crystal K.
I love this place! The owner is kind and funny. They make the best falafels I've ever had!
(5)Dax O.
Really great food! Excellent and quick service, even when you have a large group or difficult order. Have eaten there several times now, and they always remember us from before. Will be eating here very often!
(5)Angela D.
Cheap + Delicious = College Student's Dream I always get the beefofel or the ultimate sandwich. The meat is tender and the tzatziki sauce is perfectly tangy. The guys who take your order are friendly and helpful if you don't know the menu. It's a nice, quick, and casual place to grab a bite to eat!
(4)Chaz Ibn John A.
I haven't had a chicken schwarma like that since I lived in Saudi Arabia. Will definitely be returning for more!
(5)John H.
Didn't even plan on coming here in the first place, now I love it! Get the 'Taste of Jerusalem sandwich'. It's a gyro, just a different name. It was awesome. Very friendly staff and the cost of the sandwich was cheap. Diner atmosphere.
(5)David B.
Not particularly memorable, but it was good enough, and the service was friendly. As long as you understand that it's basically fast food Middle Eastern style, you should like it fine. Just don't expect a top of the line Middle Eastern meal.
(3)Jennifer H.

This place serve good middle eastern food. I ordered lamb kabobs with some sort of salad, rice and hummus. My friend ordered the same except it was chicken kabob. The nice lady behind the counter told us that they were out of salad so we could substitute with anything else. I got double order of rice and my friend was kidding when he asked for extra chicken. I was surprised that he did get extra chicken in place of the salad! The food tasted good, the quantity was large and we were happily satisfied when we left. The price was reasonable also. It cost about $12 to $14 per person. I would go there again.
(4)Tim K.
Boring food in a bizarre atmosphere. Today I got the "ultimate plate". There wasn't much about it that was ultimate. The plate had finely chopped gyro meat and chicken shwarma, humus, banana peppers, and horribly funky tasting tomato slices. Everything tasted the same and sitting in red glittery booths from a defunct 50's diner added to the underwhelmed sensation that was my lunch experience.
(2)Billy Ray C.
Had the Gyro with Dolmas. Was quite good, the tzatziki sauce was excellent. Price was decent 9 bucks for sandwich, side and a drink. Good for a quick lunch, the place wasnt fit for a dinner sitting. Grab a gyro
(4)Dani T.
My daughter's choice for her birthday lunch. Not fancy, but tasty and reasonably priced.
(4)Ben K.
Hello, world! Long time lurker - eating here got me out of the passive mood, and into the posting mood, because of my horrible experience. Hire some new folks and throw out the goons working there now! Completely ignored my questions about the menu, acted as if they didn't care if I ordered anything, and mumbled under their breaths. Did they hire these people from the pool of Occupy protesters down the street? I should have taken the hint when folks came in, attempted some form of communication with the half-baked staff, and promptly left to go to the competing cafe across the street next to the AT&T store (In-n-out Gyros). Wow. Talk about underwhelming and a cold welcome, which is just how their food tasted. I ordered a side of dolma and the beef lamb schwarma. I received them both on styrofoam plates, garnished with some chopped lettuce and banana peppers, barely giving off any heat. This was a pretty good indication that I was about to get a cold mouthful of mediocrity. I wasn't too concerned with the ambience or presentation - the food should speak for itself, which was average compared to other cafes around town. I would definitely consider driving great distances to get to other eateries before thinking about this place again. I will starve to death before thinking of returning.
(1)Annabelle N.
Definitely the better Mediterranean food I've had here in the Springs. Not awesome, but better than much I've tried. Gives me hope for our little city. That being said, I crave gyros on a pretty regular basis, so I most likely will be giving this place another go around. The low prices do provide good incentive. I went on a Friday night, and there was a belly-dancer. Entertaining of course, but the way they cranked the music, the hand cymbals that made appearances on a couple dances, and the general smallness of the restaurant combined to really impede conversation, which happened to be the point of my going out that evening (conversation, that is...oh, and gyros). I don't know if this is a regular practice of theirs, it may have been a special weekend/evening thing. Next time, I'll definitely try some baklava. So I'd say if you want pretty good Mediterranean food for cheap, this is the place to go. If you want to have some sort of soul-searching-deep-discussion, you might want to seek out a quieter place.

(3)Spode B.
(4)Nick A.

(1)Mark S.
I am very excited they opened one at Barnes and Austin Bluffs! The food is really good. The falafel was so good I had to order a second helping. The Hummus is very well done and the Baba ghanoush was spot on. The Gyros meat had excellent flavor, however the portions were a bit small.
(4)Annabelle N.
(3)Damien F.
The food was good not great. I love middle eastern food and this is middle of the road quality for a good price. The service was counter only. They called out to us to come get it. Had to ask for our baklava at the end. Not sure if they forgot it or if they were waiting for us to get done and weren't watching. Bus your own table at the end of your meal. I gave it because four stars because it was cheap good food. As an added bonus for me I can walk there. I will go back. Also like the Mediterranean Cafe on Kiowa St. Little better food for a bit more money.
(4)Natalie K.
I love this place! My fiance and I go here all the time, and you seriously cannot find better falafel anywhere else in town. The service is fast and friendly, especially if you've been there several times before. Sometimes they are hard to understand as they speak very quietly, but overall they're wonderful people. I would 100% recommend checking out Taste of Jerusalem the next time you're in the mood for something delicious! :)

So after a long morning of shooting we wandered around down town to feed the beast....errr....my stomach. They didn't have a gluten free menu for my wife but the guy in the back (I'm assuming he was the chef), made some suggestions for her that she really liked. She ended up with the Taste of Jerusalem salad with pickled turnips. I ended up with Beefofel sandwich and fries. Both were excellent with great flavor. I grabbed their bottle of "Red Hot Sauce" for the sandwich and BBQ sauce for the fries. If you know me then you know that I need something to dip my fries in, with BBQ sauce being the number one choice. :) Both sauces were just ok. The hot sauce wasn't too hot and almost tasted like Tobasco. I tried the sandwich untainted at first and it tasted great but I always like a little bit of spice in my life. We didn't order anything to drink but in the end I caved and asked for the Middle Eastern tea. My wife and I played the guessing game as to what type of tea it was. We finally asked the chef and he told us it was a chai blend with other herbs and spices added. Great tea and it wasn't too sweet or too bitter. Just about right but it took a while to cool down. We'd definitely order the tea again. We'll definitely come back here again. :)
(4)Emilie L.
I was so excited when they opened a Heart of Jerusalem in downtown Colorado Springs, and am a little bummed that I can't get it in Manitou any more, but I digress. I am pretty picky about my Middle Eastern food after having spent considerable time in the region, and I think Heart of Jerusalem does a great job of providing truly authentic food, with enough concessions for a more American palate. I always get the sandwiches, which you can't go wrong with (the last time we went my two friends got a chickafel sandwich...combo of falafel and chicken, and the Heart of Jerusalem sandwich...beef lamb and chicken, while I just got the lamb/beef schwarma...we were all very satisfied). The prices for a combo are reasonable, especially when you consider that I normally only eat 1/2 my sandwich and save the rest for later.
(4)Kenny P.
Was walking around downtown to kill some time before I was going to meet up with some people for climbing. Decided to go in because I saw that they had free wifi...and the menu looked pretty decent. Wasn't in the mood for anything heavy: opted to go for the falafel. The falafel was...DELICIOUS. At some places I've been they don't get the balance of spices right (for my tastes): either too salty or not spicy enough or whatnot. This place...got it right. Ended up yelping it from their own wifi and discovered I'd picked a real winner w/the falafel: apparently they've been "doing it right" consistently. W0rd. Small place: looks like a converted small-burger-joint. However, I'm not much one for paying tons for "decor" and if they'll serve me great food for a great price in an aesthetic that is average...I will be completely fine with that. Will be back to try more items on the menu.
(4)Joel A.
Honestly, there are only a handful of places downtown that I think are worth my time and patronage but TOJ has consistently been at the top of my favorite spots. I'm a huge fan of the Ultimate Sandwich but the Shwarma and Hummus plates are close behind and the falafel truly stands out. On top of this their fries are probably the best in the city. The only thing that kinda bums me out is they were the ONLY place to have Diet Mtn Dew and that has since changed but alas if that's my only gripe they're doing pretty well. Shucks, I think I might go back tonight.
(5)Mike N.
Small and quaint in every possible sense of the words; Taste of Jersulem packs what some may call punch of middle eastern cuisine, but sadly ends up feeling more like a nudge. Being of jewish decent, but not actually from Israel it became blatantly obvious that the menu selection from the Taste of Jersulem was as small as its venue ( which felt humid and lacked any kind of real ventilation system).Service was passive at best, but the food was not entirely bad, although it was surprisingly bland coming from such a rich ethnic cuisine background. The usage of paper plates for me also just set the ambiance into Street Cart vendor mode as well. Shame...Colorado Springs is sadly still in the search for a great middle eastern restaurant.
(2)Kim K.
I love Heart of J. The non-meat options are really filling and tasty. I haven't ever had anything with meat there, actually. My friends have had the chicken, lamb and/or beef and all love it. I usually get something with falafel. Once in a while the falafel will seem to be a little less than fresh but most of the time it's great. I even like the dolmas here, and I usually hate dolmas. The tzaziki is awesome. Make sure to end the meal with coffee and baklava, and try different kinds! It's really good.
(4)amanda b.
I have eaten at hoj a few times, and I always enjoy it!! the food is great an the service is friendly. always a plus in my book :D

I can always do without the deep deep deep fried french fries, but the shawarma is delicious!!!!!

One of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants in the Springs. Absolutely delicious. :-) Perfect for vegans like myself.
(5)Alison R.
4 stars not 5 because I typically feel sick afterward... but it's so good!!! I recommend the chicken kabob. They should deliver, not thru dine on demand tho because it's extra money. So tasty, so tasty.
(4)Don A.
(1)Chris P.
(5)Vincent T.
(4)Joel H.
Ah well
(4)Veronica C.
(5)Annabelle N.

(4)Chris M.
(3)Chloe H.

I will definitely be going back
(5)Amber B.
Really great food! Excellent and quick service, even when you have a large group or difficult order. Have eaten there several times now, and they always remember us from before. Will be eating here very often!
(5)Billy Ray C.
Had the Gyro with Dolmas. Was quite good, the tzatziki sauce was excellent. Price was decent 9 bucks for sandwich, side and a drink. Good for a quick lunch, the place wasnt fit for a dinner sitting. Grab a gyro

My daughter's choice for her birthday lunch. Not fancy, but tasty and reasonably priced.

(3)Angela D.
(4)Travis L.
This place is hard to find if you use the Yelp location. Food is good, menu is simple, and prices are very good. Will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in town.
(4)Spode B.
(2)Damien F.
(5)James o.
(4)Liz E.
This location is not as good as the Heart of Jerusalem off of Barnes & Academy. The bread is plain ( the other place uses herbs on the bread) no salad with plate orders just some banana peppers, and poor customer service. Make the drive and go to the other location.

I have eaten at hoj a few times, and I always enjoy it!! the food is great an the service is friendly. always a plus in my book :D

I am very excited they opened one at Barnes and Austin Bluffs! The food is really good. The falafel was so good I had to order a second helping. The Hummus is very well done and the Baba ghanoush was spot on. The Gyros meat had excellent flavor, however the portions were a bit small.

(5)NO O.
(4)Kristi R.
(4)Don A.
(1)Chris P.
(5)Vincent T.
